Mainstream American porn has really normalized anal sex and that’s what the problem is, it’s that many women are being pressured to take it whether they like it or not because of it’s become so normal even though many women don’t like it and never will. So yes you might like it but to expect other women to like it is the problem, so is how there’s little honest discussion about it because if a woman says she doesn’t like it and feels pressured she gets a response is sarcasm and “where’s the anal sex lobby” rather than actually listening to it.
Sex positivity means making sex positive for those who want it and accepting some people don’t not making everyone have every kind of sex whether they want it or enjoy it or not.
Though your anal(huuuuuurrrrr)ysis of the present state of porn is correct, you missed out on something else which is far more normalised in todays culture; Making girls feel shitty about having sex.
If the OP had actually mentioned any of the actual, sex positive arguments you’re talking about, I’m pretty sure people would have discussed it. Instead they made a post about how gross and weird and uncomfortable and wrong anal sex is. Which is true for her, and possibly her friends as well, but it’s not true for everyone.
Another thing being missed there is the responsibility of the individual. Porn does have a part to play and should probably be more responsible but at the same time anyone who takes their cues for porn is a moron. And anyone who pressures a girl into anal sex (or anything for that matter) or pulls out the sarcasm referenced is a fucking asshole (no pun intended) who doesn’t deserve to be in the position he’s in.
I don’t know, I feel like anyone who can’t figure out on their own that anal sex is probably pretty uncomfortable for most people is a bit thick, regardless of what porn tells them. I mean, they have assholes too right?
